Today, Google introduced support for strong hardware-based security key authentication on iOS. These enhanced security capabilities apply to Google Accounts (including Gmail and G Suite), the Advanced Protection Program, and other Google services like YouTube and Meet. 

YubiKeys using the Lightning connector or NFC now natively work with Google iOS apps and Google’s web services via the Safari browser on iPhones and iPads.
